Unfortunately, I cannot take the credit for these fabulous photos. Several classmates and our teacher, Terry( who has also been named the Canadian Portrait Photographer of the year) , went to Toronto for a PPO meeting and spent the day in the Distillery District, shooting. Terry's friend came along, Kerry Hayes. We had lunch and he told us that it was at one time the largest distillery in the world. This is where they make beer and Canadian whiskey, and you can tell by the smell. Also, many movies have been filmed here.
Kerry is a very interesting person. I just googled him and here's the bio I found:
Kerry Hayes is a photographer with over 20 years of experience working on feature film sets. He has been the still photographer on more than 60 films, including: X Men 3, Take the Lead, All the Kings Men, The Day After Tomorrow, The Recruit, Changing Lanes, Nobody's Fool, Legends of the Fall, Broadcast News and The Witches of Eastwick. Kerry's portraits of films leading personalities appear throughout the industry in magazine articles, posters and in promotional material for the films themselves. Kerry is a member of the Camera Union (IATSE), Locals 600 (USA) and 667 (Canada), as well as the only Canadian Member of the SMPSP (Society of Motion Picture Still Photographers). He presently lives in Toronto.
Here is a link to some of his stills movie photography. He takes the photos for the movie posters too!
