Cassie's Stag

I was looking at old photos today, and I found this one from Cassie's stag two summers ago. I had such a great time. Looking back at how much fun we had makes me realize that in planning Angela's, the most important thing will be the people, not the festivities. It poured rain and everything was cold and muddy, but I was still the last one up to put at the fire at sunrise.

A Patch of Old Snow

There's a patch of old snow in a corner
That I should have guessed
Was a blow-away paper the rain
Had brought to rest.

It is speckled with grime as if
Small print overspread it,
The news of a day I've forgotten--
If I ever read it.
